Kerry Camino
About the Kerry Camino
The Team behind The Kerry Camino project are mostly made up of committed local people that wish to encourage walkers to our beautiful part of the world. To this end we decided that an initial stretch from Tralee to Dingle would be within our abilities given the financial constraints of the country at this time. This initial effort is also a proof of concept exercise. It is planned that we will extend it out to the rest of the Dingle way.
We had our inaugural on the 16th of June and was opened by Mike Barry the First Irish man to reach the South Pole and Minister for Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan. We had a very sucessful launch with over 100 people taking part in the Caminos first walk.
