General Discussion / Re: Kerry Way/Iveragh Camino

Hi Sorry for the delay in replying !

Nope it is not us! there are plenty of pilgrim path style walks being started up around the country and I say more power to them it is small locally based organisations like ours here in the kerry camino that can help to bring increased sustainable tourism to our less famous spots. We are a voluntary organisation and we run one organised walk per year between Tralee and Dingle on the dingle way this one walk provides us enough money to do all our printing of passports and websites and marketing.

Sorry I cannot help you with that.

Hi there, I was home in Kerry a couple of years ago and heard a discussion on Kerry Radio about a new Camino route being introduced between St Jamesí Church in Glenbeigh to Cahirsiveen. I travelled to Glenbeigh with some friends in November and we walked this route, following the Kerry Way path. Unfortunately, this Camino route is not yet established, does anyone know anything about it?
Thank you.

I will be walking May 15th
It is my first multi-day trail in Ireland, having walked many Caminos in Spain.
Do you have a link to a packing list that you know of?

Hi Nigel

there are companies that will do that for you locally a company like
should do it for you I don't know these people (I was thinking of doing a similar service myself as I have a van)
I'm sure they are fine this is not an endorsement this is a company that i found when i did a search for luggage transport tralee in google.

We cannot advertise commercial entities as we are a non profit.

Alternatively ask you accommodation provider for a recommendation

the passports are available from the tourist office in tralee. Alternatively try the Grand hotel one of  committee member works there.

hope you enjoy your trip

Hi there, I visited Dingle 2 years ago and am finally preparing to do the whole route this September. I was planning on carrying my own gear on my back all the way round. However is there any ability to sharpa my bag between B + B's, or is this only available during the walking festival in May? Also where do I get a DW passport and get it stamped? Thanks :-)

The Kerry camino Stamping locations are in place and working from about may on there are stamps available from shops along the route might be working earlier as they were still in place from the previous years

The passports are available from the tourist office  for free.

you have to pay for the certificate

Camp is small 1 b&bs in lower camp 1 in upper Camp + one place that has pods (Ashes Bar) we usually fill Camp during a weekend so book now. if you cannot get a place in Camp we run a Bus back to Tralee each day and you could stay in Tralee. Plenty Accomodation in Annascaul and in the middle is Goshen which only appears in google maps so I do not know if it is still going
