Where to stay on the KC
« on: October 09, 2018, 10:16:47 PM »
Four older adults from USA on our first Ireland trip plan to walk the KC late May, early June, 2019.  Welcome any accommodation recommendations in Tralee, Camp, Annascaul and Dingle.  Looking for good food, friendly folks and comfortable beds!

there are plenty of B+B along the route. At the end of day 1 you arrive in the village of Camp it is a small village and booking in advance is recommended as there is a small amount of accommodation available there

Camp is small 1 b&bs in lower camp 1 in upper Camp + one place that has pods (Ashes Bar) we usually fill Camp during a weekend so book now. if you cannot get a place in Camp we run a Bus back to Tralee each day and you could stay in Tralee. Plenty Accomodation in Annascaul and in the middle is Goshen which only appears in google maps so I do not know if it is still going

I am planing to do the Kerry Camino during my Easter break in Austria. I am already looking for some places to stay on the Camino. Especially in Camp I only found Accomodations that would cost more than 90 per night, which is not affordable for me. Do you have any recommodations and names of accomodations where it is possible to stay for one night for a more affordable price?

Kindest regards and thank you
Andrea

I have 2 suggestions neither of them ideal

you could keep on walking to Inch. this is not as mad as it sounds as the trail to camp was improved last year and it shortened the time of our organised walk by an hour

you could catch a bus back to tralee sleep there and get a bus back out again in the morning
you could look in castlegregory and ask if they could collect you

I will pm you our accommodation list there might be a couple there you have not seen.
